Self-service portal and DFØ app

All employees must use the self-service portal or the ¶Ù¹óØ-²¹±è±è to register, among other things, workings hours, holiday, absence and leave applications, travel expenses, expense reimbursements and additional tax deduction.

Self-service portal

. The self-service portal can be opened in a Safari, Edge or Chrome browser. In the self-service portal there are both user guides and a chatbot available for questions and user support. Ìý

Registering working hours

If you are an administrative or technical employee at UiB, you must register your working hours. . You can register time back to the 1st of the previous month.

Registering hours as an hourly-paid employee

Registering working hours is not the same as registering a timesheet. If you are employed as an hourly-paid employee at UiB, you must register your hours to receive your salary. As a general rule, you should use code 006 hourly wage without additional pay when registering your hours. .

Payslip

You can find your payslip under Payslips in the self-service portal.Ìý.

Please note that you will lose access to the self-service portal when you leave UiB, and you will no longer be able to download your payslips. Therefore, remember to download your payslips before you have your last working day at UiB.

Requests for absence

Under requests for absence in the self-service portal, you can apply for and register, among other things, self-certification, paid holiday, sick child leave, compensatory time off, and paid compassionate leave. . You can also view previously submitted applications.

An absence application is not the same as a request for leave of absence. See separate guidance for leave applications.

Request for leave of absenceÌý

Under request for leave in the self-service portal you can apply for, among other things, parental leave, caring leave without pay, leaves due to extended sick leave, leaves to work elsewhere and child care allowance. .

Register travel expense claim

Employees at UiB who have traveled must submit a travel expense claim. .

Register an expense reimbursement

Employees at UiB who need to get expenses reimbursed must register an expense reimbursement. .

Register travel requests and advances

Employees at UiB can request for a travel advance before a trip. .

User profile

You can register and change your user profile-information yourself in the self-service portal. This uncludes, among other things, your address, contact information, change of norwegian bank account, family, and your contact person. .

External workÌý

Some external work you might have in addition to your position at UiB is subject to registration. . If you have external work that needs to be registered, you can register this in the self-service portal. .

Additional tax paymentÌý

If you wish to have more tax deducted than your original tax deduction, you can register this. .

Transfer vacation daysÌý

The general rule is that all paid vacation should be taken in the vacation year. If you still have paid vacation left, you can apply to transfer some paid vacation from one year to the next. As a general rule, you can apply to transfer up to 14 paid vacation days. .

Sign contract for short, temporary employments

For short, temporary employments and assignments, you must sign the contract via the TOA-solution.

Resignation

You can register your resignation in the self-service portal if you only have one employment at UiB. .

You can not use the self-service portal if you are changing positions internally at UiB. In this case you have to inform your leader, and they will take it from there.

As a general rule you will have access to the self-service portal from the day you start your employment. If you lack access to the self-service portal, you can contact Service centre for salary, travel and absence.
