Framework agreements
Many new purchases will be covered by existing framework agreements, as UiB has entered into a number of framework agreements for both goods and services.

Framework agreements establish聽the terms and conditions for purchases during a set聽contract period. Through framework agreements, UiB can ensure good prices and favourable聽conditions for warranty and maintenance. Framework agreements also ensure that聽UiB can influence suppliers to attend to human聽rights, worker's rights,聽and pursue sustainable development and environmental standards.聽聽聽聽
Framework agreements are binding
Loyalty to the agreement is聽a premise for a good framework agreement. If a聽purchase of goods or聽services is covered by聽an existing聽framework agreement, the purchase must be made using聽our contracting partner. Call-off under a frame work agreement
As a rule, a call-off under a frame work agreement can be made by placing av purchase order directly.聽Some framework agreements do however commit us to conduct a competition between聽multiple suppliers, a so-called mini competition.
If a purchase is not covered by an existing聽framework agreement, two options remain; the establishment of a new frame work agreement or making an individual purchase.
