GCF - Bioinformatic services

The GCF can provide standard support in bioinformatics, related to help with experimental design, planning, quality control of data, running basic pipelines, and related consultation. The bioinformatics service personnel is funded by the University of Bergen (Department of Clinical Science, K2) and the, in collaboration with Section for Bioinformatics at Haukeland University hospital, which together serve as a competance network for applied medical bioinformatics. We also work closely with the Computational Biology Unit (CBU) at the University of Bergen.

Experimental Design:
We offer an advisory meeting prior to the start of the project, where the user may discuss all aspects of the project thoroughly with our highly qualified team. This service is free of charge and is offered regardless of whether the project will be run in our lab or somewhere else.
Quality Control of Data:听
Included in our genomic service is a quality control of the data generated at GCF.
Workshops:听
Together with the we arrange hands-on analysis workshops on high throughput sequencing data. This is a interactive workshop where users bring their own genomics data.听
