Doing a systematic review is an often used methodology in medicine and health sciences. There are specific requirements for these kinds of summaries.

The course 鈥淚ntroduction to systematic reviews (medicine and health sciences)鈥 covers the following topics:

  • What is a Systematic Review
  • Types of reviews
  • Relevant databases for systematic reviews
  • Preliminary searches
  • Writing a protocol
  • Documentation of search strategies
  • Tools for data management and quality appraisal
  • Reporting standards
  • The role of the library

The course language is English unless all participants speak Norwegian. Minimum 7 participants, maximum 24 (at the Medical Library).聽
