About the organizers

  • Centre for Women's and Gender Research (SKOK) is a multidisciplinary research center that aims to strengthen the critical diversity, sexuality and gender research at the University of Bergen.
  • is Norway's second biggest public library. It is an independent meeting space for public conversation and debates and organizes a wide range of events.
  • is an event by the 8 March initiative in Bergen. The program for the festival is very diverse. It lasts around two weeks, with events both before and after International Women's Day. Kvinnefestivalen wishes to create engagement around, understanding for and increased interest in feminism.
