Project description
My research focuses on hydrogenetic ferromanganese crust in the Norwegian-Greenland Sea. My work will help estimate the deep sea resource potential in Norwegian waters. Furthermore, I聽will use聽Fe-Mn crusts to elucidate paleoceanography of the deep ocean using a combination of isotopes and crustal chemistry. In addtion,聽these crusts provide information on element transport to the deep ocean in general.
