Do you want to help shape Europe's future? UiB students can apply to represent CHARM-EU at the European Student Assembly in May 2025 at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Application deadline is December 1, 2024.

CHARM-EU invites students from all its partner universities to apply for participation in the fourth edition of the – ESA 2025 – which will take place from May 26-28, 2025, at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
UiB encourages all our engaged students to apply by the deadline of December 1, 2024.
What is ESA 2025?
The European Student Assembly is a grassroots project that annually gathers over 200 students from various European university alliances to debate current issues, develop policy recommendations for Europe’s future, and promote them among stakeholders and decision-makers.
From February to May 2025, the selected students will work with other panel members to deepen their understanding of the topic and begin drafting recommendations. The students will:
- Meet experts and follow online training in policy-making and moderation.
- Analyze the political and legal context, identify the main challenges, and determine priorities.
- Propose concrete solutions to these challenges, to be implemented by stakeholders at various decision-making levels.
The project culminates in an assembly at the European Parliament in Strasbourg from May 26-28, 2025, with a range of activities for students from the 64 alliances.
Why should you apply to participate?
As a participant in ESA 2025, you will:
- Represent the voices of students from various countries, disciplines, and levels of study.
- Collaborate with peers from other European university alliances to strengthen the student community across Europe.
- Contribute to advisory processes aimed at bridging the gap between European citizens and decision-makers.
- Engage in European politics and help renew democracy at multiple levels – local, national, and European."**
How do you apply?Ìý
Students can apply until December 1 at 23:59 (CET) .
- Applications are open to students of all nationalities, fields of study, and levels of study from the second year of bachelor’s to PhD.
- Students who have never participated in ESA are welcome to apply as participants and/or panel coordinators.
- Students who participated in the first, second, or third edition of ESA as participants can only apply as panel coordinators.
- Students who participated in the first, second, or third edition of ESA as coordinators cannot apply again.
