The degree of Dr.Philos. (Doctor Philosophiae) is not subject to the arrangements for organized doctoral education, and has its own regulations. The text found under Submission, evaluation and public defence聽, the Guidelines for evaluation for the Dr.Philos. degree, and 聽(revised in 2022)聽provide the necessary information about the requirements. Candidates admitted, or earlier admitted to organized doctoral education cannot present themselves for the degree of Dr.Philos.
