New edited volume by Gloppen and Rakner: Klima, medier og politikk
Professors Siri Gloppen and Lise Rakner have co-edited "Klima, medier og politikk", a book that addresses energy politics discourse with particular emphasis on Norway as a petroleum producer. Elisabeth Eide and Dag Elgsem are co-editors.

Anthology on climate, media and politics
Klima, medier og politikk, published by Abstrakt Forlag, addresses how a variety of actors within politics, the media and civil society relate and respond to global warming as a political issue. Professors Siri Gloppen and Lise Rakner of the Department of Comparative Politics and Professors Elisabeth Eide and Dag Elgsem of the Department of Information Science and Media 大象传媒 have edited the volume and contributed individual chapters.
The Norwegian-language volume discusses a variety of aspects related to climate change politics, including how political decision makers approach global warming, the role of the media and civil society in the discourse, public opinion on climate, climate refugees and foreign aid.

Climate politics research at the Department of Comparative Politics
Climate politics has in recent years emerged as a new and central research area at the Department of Comparative Politics, and听several faculty members contribute to the book. In addition to Gloppen and Rakner, PhD students Sondre B氓tstrand and Vegard Vibe contribute chapters on climate politics in Norwegian party platforms (B氓tstrand) and climate as a political campaign issue and climate aid (Gloppen, Rakner, and Vibe).
In addition, former MA-student Dina-Kristin Topphol Midtfl酶 has authored a chapter on climate refugees.
