Policy briefs on air pollution published
Just in time for the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) 2025 at the United Nations in New York, the research project Habitable Air is publishing three policy briefs on air quality.

At HLPF 2024, the聽聽project at the University of Bergen organised the official side event 鈥Measuring and Monitoring Community-Level Emissions: Scalable Qualitative Solutions toward SDGs 1 and 13鈥澛燼nd a聽networking reception at the Norway Mission to the UN. Habitable Air is funded by the Research Council of Norway and its PI is Professor 聽at the Department of Social Anthropology.
The project is now publishing three policy briefs based on the discussions at the side event and a follow-up roundtable of key participants. This builds on research and field studies in South Africa, Germany and the United States as part of the project. The publication of the policy briefs takes place in conjunction with HLPF 2025, where the Habitable Air project is present under the auspices of the International Science Council.
The policy briefs are aimed at national policy makers, the scientific community, and UN agencies/the EU/the AU respectively.
