Brita Ytre-Arneis responsible for the part project that qualitatively studies citizensconnection to the public. Brita is Associate Professor in Media ý at the University of Bergen. Her main interests are media use and audience. She has among other things studied social media in relation to public debate and magazine reading, and is particulary interested in qualitative research methods.Mer informationandarticles onBritas page.

Jan Fredrik Hovdenis responsible for the part project that examines connections to the Norwegian public. Jan Fredrik is a sociologist and Professor in Media ý at the University of Bergen. He has worked on a range of studies - mainly quantitative - on media and culture use in different groups, such as students, journalists, politicians, cultural workers, and also among citizens more generally and in social elites. In these studies, questions on social differences and class are central. Jan Fredrik has also worked on studies of the creators of media texts, for instance journalists and cultural workers more generally. More information and articles on.

is responsible for the part project that focus on those who to a lesser extent connects to the main public. Kjersti is a Senior Researcher at the Norwegian Institute for Social Research. She has a major in political science and a PhDin Media ý. Kjersti has led several larger researchprojects, worked with different ethnographic methods, and has a particular interest in questions on freedom of speech, and questions related to immigration. In this latter field, Kjersti has among other things studied marginalised groups.

is working together with Kjersti on the part project that focus on those who to a lesser extent connects to the main public. Tine is Associate Professor and Media scholar at Oslo Metropolitan University. She has done work on global media with focus on television news, and has, using both qualitative and quantitative methods, studied the relationship between those with deviating attitudes andmain attitudes in public debate.

Torgeir Uberg Nærland is working with Brita on the qualitative part project.Torgeir is Postdoctoral fellow in Media ý at the University of Bergen. He has done work on theoretical and empirical questions connected to the role of music in democracy and the public. Torgeir has also done research on copyright, right wing populism and public services in a media perspective.

Hilde Sakariassenis working with Jan Fredrik on the mapping part project. Hilde is a Research fellow in Media ý at the University of Bergen. She has written her master thesis on social media and digital divides in relation to age, and will continue to study social media in her PhD. More informatino on her project here.

The fall of 2018 and spring of 2019, Luise Salte is working as a Research assistant forthe project. The spring of 2017 Anders Helgerud, Ingrid Johannessen and Andrada Munteanu worked as Research assistants for the project.
