The Pandemic Centre starts interdiciplinary course to learn from the Covid-19 pandemic
In january the Pandemic Centre will offer a two-weeks course for students to learn from the Covid-19 pandemic. The course is open to both PhD-students and Master students from all diciplines at the university.

In January, the Pandemic Centre听will start a two-week course aimed primarily at PhD students from all disciplines (Learning from the COVID-19 pandemic: an interdisciplinary approach). The course will also be offered as an elective course for 4th year medical students, as well as Master's students from all fields at UiB.
The course will cover both medical issues related to vaccines, experiences from pandemics in a historical perspective as well as legal, social and ethical dilemmas.
Head of the Pandemic Centre, Esperanza Diaz, says that the course offer has been created to strengthen the interdisciplinary teaching at the university.
鈥� This is necessary because the pandemic has shown us that in order to combat a crisis, it is crucial to gather across disciplines,听says Diaz.听
The course will consist of interdisciplinary teaching from various professionals at UiB, in addition to critical review of texts and听practical work in groups.听
Particular emphasis will be placed on what experiences can be drawn from covid-19 pandemic with regard to new pandemics in the future. In October, the Pandemic Center arranged a national student conference at the Bergen Public Library where this was discussed.
