The Michael Sars CentreÌýis an international community ofÌýscientists using advanced technologies to study the unique molecular and cellularÌýbiology of marine organisms.ÌýWe aim to establish, strengthen, and leverageÌýlocal, national, and international networks through specific activities, includingÌýcollaborative research, joint training, and scientific exchange.Ìý

As a UNESCO World Heritage City and a European City ofÌýCulture nestled between fjords and mountains, Bergen hasÌýthe ideal combination of nature, culture and exciting urbanÌýlife year around. The city is an international centre forÌýaquaculture, shipping, the offshore petroleum industry andÌýsubsea technology, and a vibrant hub for marine research. Bergen is located in a typical West NorwegianÌýlandscape with high mountains, fjords, bays andÌýthousands of small and large islands and skerries.ÌýThe rich diversity ofÌýanimals encountered on the Bergen coastÌýeffectively complements the in-house aquacultureÌýfacilities, thus broadening the scope of researchÌýprojects that can be implemented at the Centre.

All jobs are open to competition with competence and motivation as essential criteria.
