User experience of Immersive聽Virtual Reality (VR) from a phenomenological perspective
Main content
My PhD project is concerned with the user experience of Immersive聽Virtual Reality (VR) from a phenomenological perspective. Methodically,聽I explore performing go-along interviews in VR in order to gain聽phenomenological, contextual understanding of the experience of being in聽VR. Theoretically, I work with postphenomenology to develop a framework聽for understanding and describing how VR mediates our subjectivity in聽relation to virtual worlds. My own empirical research is concerned with聽Virtual Reality Mind Palaces, which are studied qualitatively聽in-the-wild to understand the effects of VR in the context of everyday聽life.
