Call for CMI-UiB Collaboration Funds 2020
Chr. Michelsen Institute and the University of Bergen have a long-standing agreement to strengthen development-related research in Bergen. We now invite applications for collaboration between our two institutions. Deadline 20 June, 2020.

Applications for 2020-2021 must include researchers in permanent positions at both CMI and UiB, based in research groups at respective institutions. All scientific staff mentioned in the application by name should be asked about their involvement and plan to be actively involved in the project.
The thematic areas of the application need to reflect the strategies of both CMI and UiB. New, preferably cross-disciplinary, collaborations within these strategic priority thematic areas are encouraged.
The collaboration funds are intended for activities that aim to initiate new projects and long-term relations beyond the activity set out in the application (such as new proposals to the Norwegian Research Council or EU funding). It must be clearly stated in the application how the project will contribute to such broader objectives.
Applications may have costs between NOK 50聽000 to NOK 200聽000. The UiB/CMI cooperation committee (Samarbeidsutvalget) will evaluate the applications.
If applications include funding for seminars,聽workshops or other joint activities, we encourage using our common area of dissemination, .听
A short project brief with a budget must be written on the attached form (maximum 2 pages) together with a CV for the project manager and e-mailed to Tore.Satersdal@uib.no (subject line: "Collaboration Funds CMI-UiB 2020") within 20 June聽2020.
