Together with from and 听蹿谤辞尘听, Professor Camille Li听蹿谤辞尘听Geophysical Insitute at the听University of Bergen and the has launched a new scientific not-for-profit publication: .
"We鈥檙e very excited, and sincerely hope that WCD will develop into a high-quality European-based alternative to and , which are both based in the U.S.," says Camille Li.

"This听is the product of a true team effort. the idea for the journal grew from a series of storm tracks workshops over the last few years, and it鈥檚 fantastic to see it finally launching."
听is dedicated to the publication and public discussion of high-quality research on dynamical processes in the atmosphere. The editors hope the community will see the value of such an open-access journal, and help make it a success by submitting great articles, supporting the review process, and spreading the word.
鈥淭his effort will allow us to address challenging questions of societal relevance, such as 鈥楬ow does climate change influence the frequency of weather patterns?鈥� or 鈥楬ow can a series of unusual weather situations affect seasonal mean conditions and their predictability?鈥�," says the editors to听.
"The transparent review process and open-access policy of听WCD听provides an ideal platform for invigorating scientific exchange and ensuring the publication of high-quality scientific articles.鈥�
It is currently accepting submission of research papers in areas such as the dynamics of extreme weather events, interactions of atmospheric flows with cloud physics and/or radiation, links between the atmospheric water cycle and weather systems, storm track and Hadley cell dynamics, the role of atmospheric dynamics in palaeoclimate and climate change projections, and many other aspects of weather and climate dynamics.
Weather and Climate Dynamics (WCD) is an open-access, two-stage journal with open review, following the model of other听EGU听journals, and is published by Copernicus Publications.
