Archaeological excavations

The University museum is each year conducting archaeological excavations to secure and document the remains of the past, before they are removed by development, roads and other and construction projects.

The Universitymuseum is responsible for managing the rockart sites within it's management area (Vestland and M酶re og Romsdal county). This includes documentation, conservation, protecting, publishing and research of the rockart.
