Joint PhD degree programme recruiting students

Recently, Hawassa University in South Ethiopia and the University of Bergen agreed on a joint PhD degree programme. The programme is now recruiting students.

Joint-PhDs are doctorates, which are done at two degree-awarding institutions.聽

This programme is funded by聽, and聽聽have been registered at the home institution which in this case is Hawassa University. The currently available financial support is for staff at Hawassa, Dilla and Wolaita Sodo universities.

The programme plans to admit seven more students (four women and three men) in September 2016.

The South Ethiopia Network of Universities in Public Health (SENUPH): is funded through The Norwegian Programme for Capacity Development in Higher Education and Research for Development and aims to enhance the capacity of universities in south Ethiopia to train sufficient staff for the Region to carry out essential public health work, and do essential research to improve the health of the people living in South Ethiopia.
