Research Council of Norway visits GLOBVAC in Ethiopia
The Research Council of Norway (RCN) visited Ethiopia, one of its prioritized focus countries for Norwegian development cooperation, to see 6 of its Programme for Global Health and Vaccination Research (GLOBVAC) projects first-hand.

Centre for International Health Professor, Bernt Lindtj酶rn introduced the RCN team to his project on using insecticidal nets for preventing malaria at Lake Ziway.

Malaria is a disease that contributes substantially to illness and death in children in sub-Saharan Africa. This project aims to inform national and global policymakers on the combined use of indoor residual spraying and long- lasting insecticidal nets in controlling malaria. It will help to build essential capacity for Ethiopia, and represents collaboration between the University of Bergen, Addis Ababa University, Hawassa University, and the Ethiopian Ministry of Health (Malaria Control).
The project is one of several GLOBVAC projects at the Centre for International Health, and part of the led by Bernt Lindtj酶rn.
