El Tayeb has done extensive fieldwork in Khartoum State, Sudan, collecting data for her thesis in injury prevention research. This is a relatively new research field. It considers the impacts injuries can have on people鈥檚 daily lives. Themes such as cross-cultural perspectives, traditional vs. modern medicine approaches must also be taken into perspective.
