NORHED II 2021-2026

NORHED is the Norwegian Programme for Capacity Development in Higher Education and Research for Development. CIH researchers was rewarded with five NORHED II projects for the period 2021-2026.

NORHED aims to strengthen the capacity of higher education institutions in developing countries to produce higher-quality graduates, more and higher-quality research, and more inclusive higher education.

SENUPH II - Educating and training professional staff and future leaders in southern Ethiopia

Professor Bernt Lindtj酶rn from the Centre for International Health leads a NORHED II project that will expand the ongoing capacity-building activity at Hawassa University to include Arba Minch and Dilla Universities in southern Ethiopia.

GROWNUT II - Developing a cadre of African nutrition scholars and leaders to address nutrition disorders and influence nutrition policy

Three CIH Professors will be involved in GROWNUT II, Anne Hatl酶y (Associate Professor), Ingunn Engebretsen, and Thorkild Tyllesk盲r. The project will be implemented in Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and will have collaborating partners from South Africa.

I-CARTA 鈥� institutionalisation for sustainability

CIH Professor, Thorkild Tyllesk盲r, leads a NORHED II project, I-CARTA, that aims to partner with 3 universities in Malawi, Rwanda and Uganda to implement and institutionalise the successful strategies and outcomes of the 20-year CARTA Consortium.
