CET Annual Report 2024
Wondering what CET got up to in 2024? Our Annual Report for 2024 is now available

Main content
We are excited to share the range of activities and research CET was involved in. 2024 was the first year in our new offices and we are enjoying the possibilities a new space has given us.听
In his words from the director,听CET Director H氓vard Haarstad reflected on the turbulent year that was 2024:
鈥 芦Climate禄. 鈥淧olitical鈥. 芦Socio-economic禄. These are words that now appear to disqualify research programmes from funding under the Trump administration. Climate change research has always been targeted by political fringes. Now, the purging of climate research has become official policy and is actively pursued by a boundless president. The short-term repercussions on our colleagues in the US are becoming evident. The long-term consequences for the sustainability of our planet are unimaginable.
Haarstad goes on to remind us that:
鈥撎齇ur work is for the long term. We will seek to join forces with those who still believe in the importance of knowledge and science-based policies to foster a just transformation to a sustainable world.
