New innovations on the treatment of movement disorders: From tremor to gait failure

Technology has now reached a level of sophistication that previously untreatable symptoms of some motor disorders can be effectively treated. Using wireless sensor technology for measurement and treatment, disabling conditions of tremor and gait failure are now being effectively managed in our laboratory. This methodology is the first ever used to directly guide the treatment of movement disorders.

Professor Jog is the Director of the National Parkinson Foundation Centre of Excellence at London Health Sciences Centre and Director of the Movement Disorders Centre in London, Ontario, Canada. His main research focus is motor control, neurophysiology and computational modeling of movement disorders.
