We have just received the very sad news that Professor Jarle R酶rvik unexpectedly passed away on March 1st 2018.
This year, Cancer Crosslink was organized for the 10th time, and top-notch international speakers attended the meeting entitled 鈥淧recision Treatment: Exploiting Recent Advances 鈥 Fast and Furious?鈥. CCBIO postdoc and gynecologist Liv Cecilie Vestrheim Thomsen chaired the meeting together with Christian Kersten, oncologist at Center for Cancer Treatment, S酶rlandet Hospital, Kristiansand.

Postdoc in the Bergen Gynecologic Cancer Research Group, Ingvild L酶berg Tangen, was awarded with the best oral presentation prize at the ESGO (European Society of Gynaecological Oncology) congress for the presentation : 鈥淓xpression of L1CAM in curettage or high L1CAM level in preoperative blood samples predicts lymph node metastases and poor outcome in endometrial cancer patients鈥.

CCBIO with editors Lars A. Akslen and Randolph S. Watnick publishes a new book through Springer Publishing on August 31st.
