Vision: Better health in the underprivileged populations in low-income countries
Goals:听To be a spearhead and provide a meeting point for health research and researcher training that is particularly relevant for underprivileged populations in low-income countries.
Plan:
-听Perform global health research
-听Develop research projects and applications in global health
-听Recruit PhD candidates and post-doctoral candidates for research in global health
-听Arrange monthly research group meetings using webinars in co-operation with partner researchers/institutions in low-income countries. A particular focus will be on highlighting and reading recent scientific articles
-听Be responsible for monthly scientific presentations in scientific staff meetings on campus at Centre for International health, with online participation of PhD candidates in the field and from collaborating partners in low-income countries
-听Inspire colleagues in health research in Norway to develop projects in global health
